Titus Corner: "I'm happy at the end of the day."
Shaniah Karels: 'I truly love what I do!'
Congratulations to Shaniah Karels, who recently achieved her bachelor's degree in nursing. Shaniah is an employee of Good Samaritan Society – Howard Lake. She began working there in May 2015 as a certified nursing assistant. She is now an RN charge nurse.
Shaniah began working in a nursing home when she was 17.
“I found early on that my passion is caring for others,” she says. “I loved listening to the elderly’s stories — they would light up talking about past hobbies, family and significant others. I loved sharing those moments and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else as a career. I truly love what I do!”
