“This was the place God wanted us to be.”
From the first moment in her Good Samaritan Society community, Betty knew she was right where she needed to be.
After Betty’s husband of 57 years, Wanell, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, the couple chose to move to their local Society community—Lake Forest Village in Denton, Texas.
Wanell could receive loving care at every stage of his illness, and they both could continue enjoying their life, together.
Wanell passed seven years ago, but Betty still thrives in the community.
“We’re like a big family,” she says, adding that the activities and beautiful settings bring joy to her days.
The best gift is feeling secure in the future, surrounded by people who care. Donor support through the Good Samaritan Foundation makes that gift possible, adding to the physical, spiritual and emotional well-being of residents like Betty in very special ways.
