How do you thank people who care for someone you love?
For the family of Bob Rehagen, a long-term care resident at the Good Samaritan Society – Lake Forest Village in Denton, Texas, the new Guardian Angel program was the perfect answer. With a gift of gratitude through the Foundation, they celebrated seven special caregivers.
"During the tumultuous year of 2020, we are grateful for being blessed by the care of Good Samaritan Society doctors, staff and volunteers," said Bob's sister Linda Watrak. "Every request or question I have had for the Good Samaritan staff has been handled exactly the same way, above and beyond expectations."
Bob’s family was the first to honor Society caregivers in this new way. They were moved by the care and compassion their Guardian Angels have shown Bob and the family, especially through a COVID-19 diagnosis and other trials.
Their donation will stay local to support professional development and team building for Society employees.
Congratulations to the first Guardian Angels!
