Good Samaritan Society – Wagner is temporarily closed with a reopening date planned in 2025.

The Good Samaritan Society’s skilled nursing center in Wagner sustained significant damage in non-resident areas of the building as a result of a fire in November 2022.

We are rebuilding and anticipate reopening in the summer of 2025.

Taking this step would not be possible without the support of the community and our dedicated employees.

While we don’t have a reopening date set at this time, we anticipate construction will take approximately one year. The renovated building will feature a new kitchen and dining area, upgraded flooring, lighting and larger bathrooms in the resident’s suites.

We are rebuilding the areas that sustained the most damage and are making additional investments in the building to enhance the comfort, care and experience of our residents for years to come. All resident bathrooms will be renovated and made larger. The central bathing suite on the 500 wing will be renovated. New flooring, light fixtures and TVs will be installed in resident rooms. The nurses station will be remodeled and relocated. The lounge and chapel will be refreshed.
