Home telehealth consists of remote care delivery or monitoring between a Good Samaritan Society home health agency and a client in his or her place of residence. It is used as a tool that enables home health agency staff to improve care delivery, empower clients to actively participate in their care, reduce overall health care expenses and assist with communication to family and physicians with client permission. Telehealth technology allows the home health agency to track health patterns over time and detect deviations in data that may indicate a decline in health before it becomes acute.
