Good Samaritan Society - Parsons

Good Samaritan Society - Parsons
Parsons, KS
< BACK

Good Samaritan Society – Parsons is a 56-bed skilled nursing center located in Parsons, Kan., a friendly mid-western town of 12,000 residents in southeast Kansas. Our center has been serving the community for more than 40 years, providing both short- and long-term care for seniors and others in need.

Built on the site of the former Mercy Hospital, our center sits at the edge of a residential area, on a grassy knoll, surrounded by rolling lawn and trees.  It is common to see both wild turkeys and deer roaming our grounds.

Over the past eight years, we made the commitment to convert our center from one that had the traditional look and feel of a nursing home to one that truly looks and feels like a home. Our lobby area is much like walking into your family room. It is fully carpeted, furnished with comfortable chairs and couches, and decorated with live plants, a waterfall and an aviary.  The residents' hallways are carpeted, and the walls are covered with wallpaper and border, and throughout the center new lighting has been installed that provides a softer and warmer feel to the entire center.
